FURNACES
-
A traditional home comfort system has two parts; and outdoor unit such as an air conditioner or heat pump, and an indoor unit such as a furnace that heats and circulates warm air through your home in the winter. The indoor and outdoor units are designed to work together. When the furnace is properly matched with a heat pump or air conditioner, the result is maximum efficiency and extended system life. Furnace heating ability is gauged with an Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) percentage. A higher AFUE indicates a more efficient furnace.

-
Modulating Gas Furnace
-
York manufactures a true modulating furnance. The gas valve, ventor motor, and blower motor are all fully modulating in small increments. The furnaces provide a higher comfort level, use less fuel and operate quieter using DC voltage.
-
Variable Speed
-
Variable speed furnaces circulate more air throughout the home for longer periods of time. This reduces air stratification room to room and floor to floor. These longer run cycles can improve air quality by increasing air filtration. These furnaces offer a significant operating cost savings. The blower motor uses less electricity than a 100 watt light bulb.
-
Two-Stage
-
These furnaces feature two-stage operation with electric hot surface ignition and an induced combustion system for quiet, efficient operation. They operate at a low capacity during most of the operating cycle to maintain your level of comfort. When needed in very cold weather the second stage maintains comfortable temperatures.
-
Single Stage
-
Similar to older model furnaces with many new features including electronic ignitors, direct drive blowers and an inducer to draw the right quantity of combustion air into the furnace.

Wood/Oil Combination Furnaces
-
Just as the name suggests, you get both a wood furnace and oil furnace. This can be done in two ways; as a complete combination unit; or as an oil furnace with a wood add on furnace using only the oil furnace fan for circulation. For more information visit Newmac Furnaces.

Air Conditioners
-
A split system air conditioner is the outdoor unit that cools air and sends it to the indoor unit (the furnace) to be circulated through your home. The indoor and outdoor units are designed to work together and when properly matched with a furnace or air handler, the result is maximum efficiency and extended system life. A central air conditioner uses the furnace and ductwork to provide cooling through the entire ducted house. It is a split system with an evaporator in the ductwork and a condenser outside the home. Air Conditioners efficiency us rated by a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER). A higher SEER rating signifies higher energy efficiency. Air Conditioners and cooling efficiency is measured using a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER). A higher SEER signifies higher energy efficiency. Heat Pumps
-
A split system heat pump is a year round comfort system. In the summer it draws heat out of your home to keep it cool and in the winter it draws heat from outside air into your home to keep it warm. Outside air always has heat in it but at very low temperatures during winter months (-15C) another source of backup heat is needed such as a furnace. The efficiency of a heat pump is rated using SEER for cooling and HSPF for heating efficiency. A heat pump uses electricity as its power source. Roof Top Units
-
Roof Top Units are basically used for commercial or industrial applications. The best of both worlds in one, the unit provides heating and cooling in one unit. A great added feature is an economizer which uses outside air for cooling when the temperature outside is cool enough. Roof tops start as low as 1.5 ton cooling capacity. Air Cleaners
-
Air quality is becoming an important issue. An air cleaner in your home can get rid of all the unwanted airborne contaminants like pollen, mold, fungi, bacteria, viruses, dust and mites as well as self contributed contaminants such as tobacco, wood, cooking smoke, toxins, household cleaners, paints and varnishes. All of these contaminants affect the quality of the air you breathe. When an air cleaner is connected to the return air duct in your system it filters the dirty air through a tightly sealed three stage filtration system. Radiant Infloor Heating
-
Radiant Infloor Heating provides great comfort eliminating chilly drafts and producing even heat. It can be installed under floors and in walls, indoor and out making the surface feel warm to the touch and runs very efficiently. Water is heated with a boiler and pumped through special tubes that are spaced evenly under the surface. Since warm air rises, heat in the floor keeps the temperature lower to the floor instead of at the ceiling.

Boilers
-
Boilers add a great alternative for added options. They can be used for in-floor heating, water heating, and with central ductwork heating. Condensing Boilers can be as high as 98% effeciency.
